A cleaning robot deployed on a sloped solar array

R-Bot · Robotics

Autonomous deployment.

Built for specialised solar installations — the sites where the array decides the method, not the other way round.

01 — What it does

Deployed where a crew shouldn't go.

R-Bot is placed onto the array and then works autonomously across it, section by section, without a person following behind.

Some installations are genuinely hostile to manual maintenance: steep pitch, fragile walkways, height, or simply a layout that makes a safe standing position impossible. R-Bot exists for those, and it earns its place by removing the person from the risk rather than by cleaning faster.

02 — How it works

Deployment sequence.

R-BOT · Autonomous deployment unit Schematic · not to scale
Inclined array surface PLACE 01 · TRAVERSE + CLEAN RECOVER 02 · EDGE + OBSTACLE SENSING 03 · EARTH360 LINK
01 Autonomous traverse 02 Edge & obstacle sensing 03 Telemetry

03 — Why it exists

The safest technician is the one not up there.

Risk removalTakes the person off surfaces that were never designed to carry one.
GeometryWorks across pitches and layouts that defeat a traversing gantry unit.
ConsistencySame coverage on the far section as on the one by the access hatch.
Surface careDistributed load and no foot traffic on the modules.
RecordCycle logged and closed in Earth360 like every other job.

04 — Specification

Technical details.

ClassAutonomous deployment cleaning unit
OperationPlaced on array, then unattended traverse with edge and obstacle sensing
Cleaning methodRotating brush with controlled water delivery
IntegrationCycle scheduling, telemetry and closure through Earth360
Suited toSpecialised installations: steep pitch, restricted access, height-risk sites
Dimensions, mass, power, coverage rateConfirmed against the current production unit during site assessment.

Suitability for R-Bot is decided on site. Not every specialised array is a candidate, and we will tell you when a different method is the right one.
