Pune has more commercial rooftop solar than anywhere else we operate, and more of it is under-maintained. The industrial corridor also has the worst construction dust in the state, which changes the cleaning interval considerably.

Soiling is local. What lands on your glass here is not what lands on it two districts away, and the cleaning cycle should follow the site rather than a national average.

Chakan, Talegaon, Hinjawadi and the Ring Road corridor are in permanent development. Construction dust is coarse, abrasive and bonds when it gets wet, and it is the main reason Pune plants need shorter cycles than their owners expect.

Sites near the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the Nagar and Solapur roads pick up diesel particulate, which leaves an oily film that plain water does not shift.

Warehouse and plant roofs here are often built at low tilt for wind load. Low tilt means poor self-cleaning and a hard dirt line along the bottom frame.
